The GOTS Internet version allows a huge number of clients manage their objects simultaneously. There is no need for installation any software. Just a Web Browser and an Internet-connection is required.

Technical Details:
General Aspects:
All components of the Global Object Tracking System are written in programming language C++ that assures a very high performance and best usage of the hardware. The integration of standards (e.g. GIS for displayed maps) makes the solution most flexible. The whole system is implemented as a multi tier application to ensure the logical (functionality) and physical encapsulation of the different modules. All tiers are fully exchangeable.
Middle Tier:
The central module of the system is the Middle Tier of the processing layer. It is running as a service on Windows platforms and coordinates all actions of the whole system. The service keeps a permanent connection to the system database (storage layer) where all needed data is stored. To reduce the load of the database system some data are cached. All modifications on data are logged, so each failure in data can be localized.
Connections to the Objects:
The connections to the Objects (e.g. cars) are handled by the Middle Tier using system dependant libraries. Currently the connections to our offered hardware are supported. Additional libraries can be developed and integrated also by third-party-providers.
GOTS system components are protected with high level security mechanisms. Using SSL-based data connections provide secure access to business critical data.
